Aneeshiya George holds a Master’s degree in Addiction Studies from Dublin Business School, Ireland, and M.Sc. in Psychology (Human Resource Development and Management) from Christ University, India. She also holds a PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling (PGDGC) and has completed specialized training in Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Suicide Alertness (SafeTALK)
She brings over 11 years of experience working across diverse settings including clinical practice, community mental health services, academia, and social care in both India and Ireland. Her work has involved supporting adolescents, young adults, couples, families, and vulnerable populations dealing with concerns such as addiction, relationship conflicts, anxiety,
trauma, behavioral difficulties, emotional regulation, and life transitions.
Prior to joining Untangle, she worked as a Senior Couple Therapist and Psychologist at Marriage Fit, and as a Family Intervention Practitioner at Crosscare, Dublin, where she supported families and young people involved in high-risk or challenging behaviors. Her earlier roles also include working with individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and
special needs, which has enriched her holistic and compassionate therapeutic perspective. She also served as Assistant Professor of Psychology in Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous, where she taught and mentored postgraduate students, equipping them with the academic knowledge, clinical understanding, and professional skills required for careers in psychology and mental health.
At Untangle, she offers individual and couple counselling, drawing from evidence-based techniques such as person centric approach, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed care, CBT, emotion and solution-focused techniques. Her therapeutic style is empathetic, collaborative, and culturally sensitive, focusing on creating a safe space where clients can explore challenges and build sustainable coping strategies.
