Puspanjali Borthakur is a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over 7 years of experience providing evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy to adults, couples, and families. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, and holds an MPhil in Psychology and a MSc. in Clinical Psychology. Over the course of her practice, she has completed 3,500+ therapy hours, supporting clients through a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and interpersonal concerns. She has a special interest in trauma-informed therapy, sexual health and intimacy, relationship and marital concerns, personality-related difficulties, emotional regulation, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Her clinical experience spans private practice, mental health organizations, and online therapy platforms. At Mind Research Foundation, Bengaluru, she has worked extensively with individuals and couples experiencing relationship and marital concerns, anxiety, depression, personality-related difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and trauma. In addition to her clinical work, she has actively contributed to mental health advocacy by conceptualizing and participating in a Mental Health Conclave Series, hosting expert discussions and video conversations with psychologists and professionals from diverse disciplines on topics such as relationships, trauma, emotional well-being, grief, mindfulness, sexual health, parenting, and other contemporary mental health concerns. She has also participated in podcasts and psychoeducation video discussions aimed at promoting evidence-based mental health awareness. Through Mindbee, an online mental health platform, she has provided therapy for clients dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and self-esteem and identity-related concerns. At Healohub, another mental health platform (online), she has supported individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, personality-related challenges, body image concerns, grief, family and relationship issues, and couples’ concerns.

Puspanjali adopts an integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to therapy. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Client-Centered Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and other third-wave therapeutic approaches. She believes therapy should be a collaborative process that empowers clients to develop greater self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, improve relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

In addition to her clinical practice, Puspanjali is a Certified International Trainer and Coach who has designed and facilitated mental health awareness programs, counselling and training workshops, and mindfulness-based interventions for schools, colleges, healthcare institutions, NGOs, and leading corporate organizations including Cisco, MindTree, ITC, Lululemon, UnitedHealth Group, and Serdia Pharmaceuticals. Her workshops have covered topics such as mental health awareness, examination stress and anxiety, student well-being, stress and burnout management, workplace mental health, mindfulness, emotional resilience, emotional intelligence, work-life balance, psychological safety, digital wellness, mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, understanding the role of the subconscious mind in everyday functioning, resilience building, and employee well-being.

She has also been invited as a speaker by organizations such as Mindbee and Mind Research Foundation on topics including postpartum depression, grief and loss, and emotional well-being.
