About Palak Lohade

Palak Lohade is a Counselling Psychologist with an M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a B.A. in Psychology from Sophia College, Mumbai. She is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and brings over 3 years of experience across community mental health and crisis recovery settings in the UK.

Her experience includes working as a Crisis Recovery Worker at Waythrough (formerly Richmond Fellowship) and as a Community Mental Health Recovery Support Worker at Mind in Camden. In these roles, she supported adults experiencing emotional distress and mental health difficulties, helping them build coping skills and navigate their recovery. She has also worked with children with diverse developmental needs at The Gap Club in London and completed a clinical psychology internship at Rhythm – Centre for Psychological Health in Nashik.

Palak works with adults navigating anxiety, stress, low mood, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She helps individuals understand their experiences, recognise their strengths, and find ways to manage everyday challenges.

Her practice is trauma-informed and person-centred, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches, and positive psychology. She is also trained in Psychological First Aid through Johns Hopkins University, suicide prevention through the QPR Institute, and safeguarding practice.

Palak’s approach to therapy is warm, non-judgemental, and collaborative. She believes that change begins when people feel truly heard and understood. She works alongside clients to explore their concerns and find practical, realistic steps forward at a pace that feels right for them, offering a space where they can work through challenges without feeling judged or pressured.
